You can set default views for different folders that best support your work. Default views will automatically open whenever you navigate to the folder and will remain in effect until you remove the default or select another view as the default. You can set default views for both main folders (e.g., Workspace > Matters folder) and window subfolders (e.g., Matter > Transactions folder).
If you record billable actions daily:
- Select the view in the Transactions folder that best supports your entries.
- Use filters to specify the time period from which you want transactions to be listed in the view.
- Set the view and the filters you selected as the default by clicking the gray star on the filter row.
- When the star turns yellow, this view will open as the default in the future.
- You can remove the default by clicking the star icon again in the view, turning it gray, or by setting another view as the default.
Similarly, you can set favorite views for different folders under various windows, such as the Transactions folder under matters. Once the default setting is made, the same view will open when you access the Transactions folder of any matter.
