First, highlight in the calendar a reservation that matches the duration of the transaction and enter a description for it. Then select the matter and the transaction type by dragging them onto the calendar entry from the lists on the right‑hand side.
The software will then automatically create a transaction, provided that the power user has enabled the setting to generate a transaction after adding the matter and transaction type.
Alternatively, you can open the calendar reservation, add the matter, and choose Create Transaction from the ribbon. The software will then ask for the transaction type and open the transaction window for you to complete.
When a transaction has been created from a work time entry made in the calendar, the entry will show — in addition to the calendar text, the matter number, and the matter subject — also the customer’s name. This makes the entries clearer when matter names are similar.
