The software provides a three-level tool for checking customer conflicts of interest. To ensure reliable conflict checking, it is recommended to save all parties related to matters in the software, including counterparties.
- Conflict Search is a quick function that rapidly reveals any potential conflicts of interest for a customer. It shows whether the customer has been involved in different matters as a coparty, counterparty, or in some other role, but does not save the search result in the software.
- Conflict Check is more comprehensive than the conflict search. After performing a conflict search, you can, if necessary, deepen it with a conflict check, the result of which can be saved in the customer’s information. The conflict check displays the customer’s exact party roles in different matters. You can also perform an extended check by adding other parties related to the matter.
- Conflict Inquiry is the final stage of conflict checking. With it, you can send a summary of the conflict check for comments via a chosen email distribution. This ensures that taking on a customer’s matter does not create a conflict with another matter that may still be in the negotiation phase and therefore not yet recorded in the software.
