Once all necessary information has been collected in the matter request and there are no obstacles to accepting the matter, you can convert the matter request into a matter using the “Create Matter” button. The button is found in the ribbon of the individual matter request and in the Matter Requests folder in the Workspace area.
When you create a matter from a matter request, all information from the matter request is transferred to the matter except for activities. The status of the matter request changes to “closed,” and no further changes can be made. You can still view the closed matter request by clicking the link in the Matter Request field of the matter.
If the matter cannot be accepted, you can reject the matter request by selecting the “Reject” button from the matter request list or window ribbon. Rejected matter requests can be viewed in the All Matter Requests view by selecting “Rejected” as the filter.
In the same list, you can reactivate a rejected matter request by selecting the row and the “Activate” function.
