Saving the matter activates folders grouped into the Matter section and the Invoicing section.
In the Matter section folders:
- Define the different parties, their roles in the matter, and any matter-specific exceptions, such as contacts
- Add team members with matter-specific hour prices
- Manage insiders added to insider matters
- Record expenses, transactions, and working time related to the matter
- View documents attached to the matter
- Manage customer identification events related to the matter
- Manage possible sub-matters
- Add activities related to the matter
In the Invoicing section folders:
- Add role-specific hour prices to the matter
- Define matter-specific transaction types
- Create subscription pricing for the matter, generating periodic fees as specified (e.g., monthly)
- Manage matter phases and their budgets
- Manage preliminary invoices, invoices, advance invoices, proof invoices, and credit invoices
- Manage the matter-specific preliminary invoice review process, which may differ from the business unit's general process
- Manage customer fund transactions and movable property
