To add a private person as a customer or as a contact person for a company, select the Private Persons folder in the Customers area and click the New button on the ribbon.
The window that opens allows entering private person data the same way as for a corporate customer with the following exceptions:
- The software will notify you if a private person with the same first and last name combination already exists, but it will not prevent you from saving the person.
- Ensure that the correct home country is selected for the private person. By default, invoices of private persons within their home country and the EU area contain VAT.
- The Invoicing Contact field can be used for private persons, for example, if the customer is a couple and both names are to be included on the invoice. In this case, both are saved in the software as private persons, and person B is retrieved in the Invoicing Contact field of person A. This way, both names will appear on the invoice one below the other.
- If a private person is to be attached as a contact person for a company, select the company in the Customer field.
- If a private person is the invoicing contact for a company and should receive a copy of the invoices sent to the company's invoicing email, fill in either the invoicing email address or the email address for the private person. If the person has multiple invoicing email addresses, you can add them separated by semicolons.
- A marketing ban can be recorded for a private person, which applies when sending marketing messages using the software's mailing lists. A separate email address can also be specified for the person to receive marketing messages. Otherwise, the address in the Email field is used.
When a new private person is saved, it gets a running customer number, and the customer window folders will be activated, allowing you to enter additional information, such as multiple addresses or customer team members.
