The software allows you to manage the corporate structure of a customer company (parent and subsidiary companies) and to view information at the entire group level.
The way you create a link between a parent company and its subsidiaries depends on whether the companies to be linked to the parent are already saved in the software, or whether you are creating an entirely new customer company that you will attach as a subsidiary to an existing company.
If a subsidiary needs to be created as new, you can add it directly in the parent company’s window under the Subsidiaries folder. The New button opens the window for creating the customer, and the Save button saves it as a subsidiary of the selected parent company.
If the customer company to be linked as a subsidiary already exists in the software, the link can be created either in the parent company’s or the subsidiary’s details:
a) You can open the details of the company to be set as a subsidiary and select the parent company in the Parent company field.
b) Alternatively, you can open the details of the company to be set as the parent, navigate to the Subsidiaries folder, and add the subsidiary using the Link button on the ribbon.
Once the corporate structure has been created, the subsidiaries are immediately visible in the parent company’s Subsidiaries folder. You can view, for example, the matters of the entire group as follows:
- Open the parent company’s details and go to the Matters folder.
- Select the Show Full Corporate Level button on the ribbon.
The Matters folder will then display all matters of the entire group, organized by company.
The same Show Full Corporate Level button appears in all folders within the parent company’s view, so you can also examine, at the group level, transactions, various types of invoices, and payments.
If you later want to remove the link between the parent company and an individual subsidiary, select the subsidiary in the parent company’s Subsidiaries folder and click Delete. This function removes only the link between the companies but leaves the selected subsidiary as an active customer.
