This support site will gradually replace the current CSI Extranet. From the top menu of the site, you can open secure TeamViewer remote support to investigate your software related issue and send us a support request, provided you are a registered user of the support site. Registered users can also centrally monitor their own support requests on the site.
In the site’s sub‑menu, you will find useful information, e.g., how to get help from CSI, what information a support request should contain, and which of our services are free of charge or billed separately. In the Frequently Asked Questions section, you’ll find information about software usage fees, version updates, the security of our software, and our upcoming product development plans. The Value-adds section provides a summary of productized integrations that can be connected to the CSI software.
However, the most essential improvement of the new site is its Instructions section. The site now offers CSI software user guides in a user‑friendly format as short articles, and you can search for the instructions you need using the search function.
The project to transfer the documentation is still ongoing, as the user guides in English alone amount to nearly 400 pages. The support site currently includes all instructions of the software's basic functionality in English, Finnish, and Swedish.
On the site you will find instructions for:
- Getting started with the software
- Understanding the functionality and logic of the software
- Installing the software and updating new versions
- Personalizing the software, e.g., by configuring default settings
- Tips for efficient software use
- Daily work tasks
- Using activities and critical tasks
- Benefiting from notes and reminders
- Customer management
- Adding customers and defining e.g. corporate structures
- Merging, blacklisting, mass editing, and deleting/deactivating customers, and setting service restrictions for them
- Performing conflict searches, checks, and inquiries
- Managing the software’s tools for fulfilling the customer identification obligation
- Matter management
- Creating matters and defining their parties and other matter data
- Using matter requests
- Managing matter visibility, billability, and phases; mass editing; and monitoring progress
- Pricing
- Understanding the pricing options offered by the software
- Pricing transactions using different pricing models, hour‑price hierarchy, role‑ and user‑based price lists, and fixed‑price, standard‑price, and unit‑price transaction types
- Matter‑level pricing using a fixed fee, recurring subscriptions, or price limit
- Setting discounts
- Transaction and expense entries
- Using transaction types, transaction duration steps, and minimum duration when recording transactions
- Alternative transaction entry methods in Matters and Transactions folders, timers, the work time calendar, CSI MyDesk, and CSI Mobile
- Managing transaction billability, copying and moving transactions, mass editing, and handling incomplete transactions
- Processing expenses, including managing their billability and setting a general expense
In addition, you will find instructions for using this support site in the first box of the Instructions section.
We gladly receive any clarification or correction requests regarding the instructions; as a registered support‑site user, you can leave comments directly on the instruction article or send them to us by email at help@csihelsinki.fi.
We are also in the process of converting instructions on invoicing, payments, reporting, and the management of settings and user permissions into article form. Until then, you can still find them in the PDF guides in the CSI Extranet.
