User price lists are price lists containing user‑specific hour prices that can be attached to matters in the same way as role price lists. User price lists can be created in different currencies, and when the price list is updated, the users’ new hour prices automatically take effect in all matters to which the price list has been attached.
The power user can define user price lists in Settings (> Common settings > User price lists) by giving the price list a name and specifying its currency. After saving the price list, its folders become active, allowing users to be added to the list in the User Prices folder and their hour prices to be defined in the currency of the price list.
The Matters folder in the window lists all matters whose parameters (Invoicing > Pricing > User Price List) have this user price list selected. The price list must always match the matter’s currency.
When determining the hour price for a transaction, the system checks whether a user price list is attached to the matter when retrieving the transaction author’s hour price. In this case, the pricing model must be either User‑based or undefined. If a user price list is attached to the matter and the transaction’s author is found in the price list, the hour price from the price list is used.
In the user‑based pricing model, and also when no pricing model is defined, the hour price from the user price list sits in the price hierarchy immediately after the hour price defined in the matter’s parameters, and before the matter‑specific team member hour price.
