Supported Devices
The new CSI Mobile is an application for Android and iOS devices, built with modern and secure technologies. It offers more comprehensive functionality than CSI’s old mobile app. CSI Mobile currently supports Android version 10, iOS version 13.6, and newer versions.
Functionality
With the application, you can use the main functions of the CSI software without opening the full program. You can:
- Add and manage your own transactions, tasks, critical tasks, and work time entries
- Perform conflict searches and checks
- View customers and matters, and create matter requests
- View your billable matters, create preliminary invoices from them, and review your preliminary invoices
Information added, edited, or deleted in the app syncs with the CSI software and vice versa. Some CSI functions - such as creating customers and matters, invoicing, managing payments, and defining software settings—must still be done in the CSI software.
General Information About the App
- You can adjust the app’s font size by changing the font size in the mobile device settings.
- The mobile app fetches the latest parameters from the CSI software every 24 hours and whenever you restart the app.
- Long names or descriptions for matters, transactions, or customers are displayed truncated, but tapping them shows the full text.
- Frequently used customers and matters can be marked as favorites, and filters can be used to narrow search results. An active filter is displayed with a red dot.
- With the Share button, you can share a link to an item (transactions, tasks, matters) via email, text message, or WhatsApp.
- If the recipient has CSI Mobile installed and permissions to the item, the link opens it in the app.
- If the app is not installed, the link directs to the app store.
- If the recipient does not have permissions, they receive an error message.
- Notes and attachments (max size 1 MB) can be added to items. Accepted file formats are: pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .zip, .png, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, .xlsx, .xml, .json, .mp3, and .mp4.
- The app notifies you of network issues. The notification disappears when the connection is restored.
- When opening the app for the first time, it asks for permission to collect and analyze data to improve functionality and performance.
- If you accepted the data analysis, the switch in the “More information” section under Profile appears colored.
- To prevent data collection, you can toggle the switch to grey.
Deployment
CSI Mobile uses the CSI API (Application Programming Interface), which enables communication between different software components -for example, to retrieve data and perform actions. When deploying the new CSI Mobile, the CSI API must be activated for the customer’s database, which sets certain prerequisites related to the CSI software for all CSI customers.
Review the documentation on deployment prerequisites and contact CSI Support if you have any questions.
