We’ll publish today a new CSI Lawyer 13.0 update package that which fixes software defects reported by customers, refines expense transfers in the Procountor integration, and introduces support for Estonian-language proof invoices.
Fixed software defects
General
- The function to archive documents attached to notes failed when archiving more than 16384 note related documents.
Customer
- The “Type” filter for private customers was missing the “Empty” option that was available for corporate customers.
- The original information stored in the “Address Line 1” field on the Address tab was not removed if it was simply deleted without being replaced by another value.
Matter
- Sorting views such as the Active Matters list by responsible person and matter opening date did not work correctly.
- Closing a matter caused an error if its preliminary invoice had been rejected by removing the transactions from the preliminary invoice.
- In some situations, the matter status could not be changed via the right-click menu and could only be changed using the ribbon function.
- If a user price list was assigned to the matter, changing the currency was not possible.
Work time
- The work time entry calendar did not load all the required data, causing the change history to record changes that had not actually been made.
Preliminary invoice
- In certain situations, approving preliminary invoices could result in a database deadlock. This occurred when the approval process was still running, but the software determined that it was taking too long and attempted to restart the process.
- Preliminary invoice preview did not use indexes correctly, which could potentially result in the entire database table being locked.
- Creating a preliminary invoice sent a notification to CSI’s new applications and waited for the notification service to respond before the screen became usable again. If the service was slow or not responding, the user interface could get stuck for a minute or more.
Invoice and summary invoice
- When sending invoices in Ledes format, currency conversions were handled incorrectly.
- The quick preview of a summary invoice used the wrong invoice template and produced a different result from the standard preview.
Settings
- For restricted users, the Save options in the User window were disabled, although changes could still be saved by selecting Yes when closing the window. After the fix, the Save options are available as expected.
Integrations
- If the Lundify Compliance integration failed, the API error did not provide sufficient detail, and the timeout configured for API calls was too short.
- The Netvisor integration returned an error if the capitalization of the cost center text changed. After the fix, the integration no longer attempts to export the same cost center a second time.
- If a user belonging to a specific user group had been deactivated in CSI and the user group was subsequently modified, the NetDocuments integration attempted to process the deactivated user as well, even though the user could no longer be found in NetDocuments by their external ID.
- Uninstalling the iManage add-in did not remove all related components, which could cause issues with other matter customizations in certain situations.
New features
Estonian proof invoices
- Proof invoices can now also be printed in Estonian.
Expense transfer in Procountor integration
- The Procountor integration now also transfers expenses with the statuses “Queued for payment” (PAYMENT_QUEUED) and “Sent to bank” (PAYMENT_SENT_TO_BANK).
