Push notifications in CSI MyOutlook keep you informed about different events and tasks directly within the app. You may also receive email notifications about important user account related events.
The application compares the device’s time zone with the user’s CSI profile time zone. If they differ, the app displays a warning informing the user of the mismatch and clarifying that all dates and times follow the device's local time. Notifications appear in the language selected in the app.
Push notifications
These notifications enable you to take actions when needed.
- Critical Task Alerts: Inform you about upcoming critical tasks assigned to you. A notification is sent based on the pre-defined alert date/time set or at 00:00.
- Task Notifications: Inform you about new or upcoming tasks assigned to you. Like critical tasks, the alert timing is based on a pre-defined alert date/time or defaults to 8:00 AM on the task's due date.
- Matter Openings: Inform you when a new matter is opened where you have a responsibility role.
- Preliminary Invoices: Inform you when a preliminary invoice is ready for your review.
- Preliminary Invoice Approvals: You may also receive notifications regarding preliminary invoices which require approval. However, preliminary invoices must be approved in the CSI software, so in the app, you can just click OK to continue working.
If there are unread notifications, you are displayed a red dot on top of the notification bell. By clicking on the bell icon, the notification list opens.
In the notification list:
- There are separate tabs for viewing either unread, new notifications or all notifications. Switching between tabs updates the list.
- Different kinds of notifications are marked with designated icons, and unread notifications with a colored dot.
- You can select any notification to get redirected to the corresponding information (e.g., specific preliminary invoice).
- You can mark all notifications as read with the “Mark all as read” button. The first time it’s used, a brief explanatory popup is shown. After marking all as read, the Unread list is cleared. NOTE! In case you read a notification in the mobile app, it will be marked as read in CSI MyOutlook, too. [TM1]
- Notifications exceeding a predefined timeframe (e.g., 7 days) are removed from the list to keep the notification history manageable.
Email Notifications concerning user account
If there are changes in your user account, you’ll receive an email notification about them. The notifications are the following:
- Account Disabled: If your account is disabled for security or administrative reasons, the notification explains why it happened and what steps to take next.
- Account Enabled: If your previously disabled account is reactivated, you'll get a welcome back email.
- Account Deleted (if applicable): If your account needs deletion, you are notified with any necessary
